This project was driven by the client’s desire to update and expand their existing home. The Architect of Record (AOR) carefully analyzed the existing conditions, with particular attention to the home’s relationship to the surrounding landscape and its prominent views.

The existing garage was retained and integrated into the new design, serving as an anchor for the remodel and expansion. The architecture extends from this point, framing and orienting key spaces toward the most striking peaks of the landscape.

The design is centered on maximizing both the value of the existing structure and the unique qualities of the site. By responding to the dramatic cliffside setting, the home establishes a strong connection to the natural environment while enhancing the overall living experience.

The client for this project sought to give their property a cohesive and refreshed appearance. Over time, the owner had added multiple extensions to the existing home, resulting in a fragmented overall design. They engaged the Architect of Record (AOR) to unify these additions into a single, cohesive architectural expression.

During the analysis of existing conditions, we collaborated closely with the client, gathering inspiration images and incorporating their feedback into the design process. The goal was to create a transformative elevation that seamlessly integrates both the original structure and subsequent additions.

By developing a detailed 3D model that distinguished between existing and proposed elements, the design intent and scope became clear and accessible to the client. This approach facilitated decision-making and ultimately led to approval of the proposed design.

The result is a striking transformation that elevates the home from a collection of additions into a unified and thoughtfully composed residence.

Light—both natural and artificial—shapes the experience, paired with a restrained palette of stone and wood textures selected for warmth, continuity, and longevity. Luxury wood-look flooring was specified for performance without compromise, while integrated waterproofing and underlayments ensure long-term durability. The result is a refined, immersive bathroom designed for daily enjoyment and lasting performance.

This bathroom renovation was designed to deliver a modern, elegant retreat defined by balance, restraint, and material sophistication. A soft, low-contrast palette was selected to create an airy and calming atmosphere, allowing layered textures to take center stage—from the warm flooring and marble countertop to the refined wall tile and custom shower curb.

Nickel finishes were thoughtfully chosen to complement the palette and provide a subtle, timeless metallic accent. Despite the compact footprint, the layout was carefully reworked to maximize countertop surface and preserve open floor space, resulting in a bathroom that feels both elevated and effortlessly functional.
